Simplifying Disposal

If a distillery is not currently using any form of stillage management system, then disposing of whole stillage is challenging and potentially costly. On average it costs between $400 and $500 per tanker to have the stillage hauled off site. Not only can it be expensive, but it is often times difficult to find anyone who will even take the whole stillage.
Installing the SOS process separates the grain from the thin stillage and further processes the grain to form a ddgs that is 40% dry solids. The ddgs will flow like dry ddgs and can be hauled in any type of trailer or container without fear of liquid leaching off the grain. The grain does not stink or attract insects when stored outside in a trailer. In this dryer form, the grain is highly
desirable by livestock operators and can eliminate the cost of disposal as many farmers are willing to come and pick up the material for free.
